What are you working on this week? I’m dividing my time between ceramics, soap, and getting ready for an Open House/Crafternoon this weekend…
In ceramics, I’m throwing a bunch. Cetty and I want to do a raku firing at the Open House, and we’d like to make some pots available for people to glaze and include in the raku firing if possible. So, much clay work going on this week!
In soap, I’m wrapping, wrapping, wrapping. I was hoping to have everything done to make a big update on Friday, but with trying to get ready for the Open House, I may have to wait and list everything on Sunday, when things are a little calmer. Because most of the full-sized bars were for an event I wound up not doing, after I get everything listed it will be a great time for you to find something you’ve been looking for! I’ll also be listing the new guest soap set at that time, the herbal fragrance set.
In yarn, not much is happening this week, other than behind-the-scenes planning for yarn club.
I’m also knitting a grayscale entrelac scarf, but soon after I took the picture on my graphic here, I wound up ripping it out and starting over, making it thinner. I’ll try to get a better/new photo in the next day or two.
And as I’m typing this, I’m having to make room on my lap for a sleeping kitten (finally sleeping, after giving himself a bath for what felt like an hour!). He’s still sleeping outside at night, and when I let him into the studio in the morning all he wants to do is snuggle and get petted. He was supposed to get shots yesterday, but the vet wound up having to reschedule at the last minute, so now he’s on track to get shots on Thursday… after which, we’ll start letting him in the house and introducing him to the other cats. Oh, his name? Everyone had such good suggestions, and it seems like he answers to pretty much everything. We’re still just sort of calling him “Kitty”, but when I had to give a name to the vet, for their paperwork, I said to call him “Troublesome.”
That’s it for me this week. What about y’all? What are you working on?
